Outreach or Grace Memorial Church

Grace Memorial’s commitment to outreach is substantial with over twenty-five cents of each dollar received being applied to these important ministries. The Wilson Ministry Center located on campus is the umbrella under which most initiatives fall. Below are examples of how we “Go forth to do God’s work!

The Wilson Ministry
Located on the campus the WMC is operated ecumenically and is the hub for most of our outreach. Programs include a community newsletter, before and after school care, piano lessons for children and seniors, health testing for seniors through the Upper Chesapeake Health System Bus, and monthly teen dances for grades 6-9. The center also has a youth chorus and a youth bell chorus.

Twice Blessed Thrift Shop
Located in the village, the shop is operated by volunteers and offers clothing and hard good items at a reasonable price.  The shop also provides food and emergency support for those in need.

Gadabouts
Monthly, a group of over “55” citizens meet for food, fun and fellowship. Twice each year they take bus trips and host the elementary school chorus for food and entertainment. The focus of the Gadabouts is the care and support of one another.
